How to travel: what to pack for a naturist resort break

Here a very well written article on naturist holidays and what to pack. I really enjoy articles about naturism in the mainstream press because it helps carry the message of this awesome lifestyle.

It is difficult to go back to other holidays once you’ve experienced the freedom of a naturist resort.

The above quote is from Andrew Welch, spokesperson for British Naturism. And I can only second this one, and would even expand it to any naturist activities: it’s difficult to go back to clothed activities once you’ve experienced the freedom of their naturist equivalents.

So beyond the simplicity of not bringing any clothes to a naturist holiday,  a light suitcase will still need to contain basic items, as described in the post:

  • sunscreen
  • sarong
  • hat
  • jumper
  • jewellery
  • footwear
  • insect repellant
  • an open mind
  • self confidence

If the first 7 items will go into the suitcase, the last 2 will be in your heart and mind, and will actually boost your self esteem as well. We all know most naturists are respectful, cheerful and much open minded than textiles (it’s not a rule, but something experienced at any naturist resort). But it’s true the best personal benefit of naturism is increased self confidence. It’s a act of courage, at the beginning, to strip in front of strangers and fighting fear is always linked to growth.

So enjoy the post and get going to your next naturist holidays!
